Take 2 is comprised of two ensembles: a wind symphony and a string orchestra. The wind symphony is under the direction of Jaron Kirshenbaum and the string orchestra is under the direction of Teresa Strobel.

Take 2 Symphony started in Fall 2019 when WMU music education graduates, best friends, and sci-fi movie/video game fanatics wanted to give the students of southeast Michigan a chance to perform the exciting sounds of many genres of multi-media.

The name "Take 2" comes from the famous line that is spoken when the clapboard falls during the filming of movies. We chose "Take 2" because the first performance is at the movies and the second will be on our stage.

Students will have the opportunity to play their favorite classic and modern TV, movie, and video game music, as well as attaining valuable skills on their instrument. Students will also be given the opportunity to participate in a full orchestra as well.

Rehearsals will take place Monday nights from 7-9pm in the band and orchestra rooms at Bloomfield Hills High School.
